THE GUNVAULT

Values / Perazzi

What is a Perazzi MX12 SC3 worth?

£4,100

Median of 1 sold result.

Too few sales to average

Only 1 confirmed sale on record, so treat this as a single data point rather than a market value. It will firm up as more sales are added.

1 of 1 beat the auctioneer's top estimate.

What moves the price

Perazzi is the competition gun, and the SC3 is the engraved grade — the money is in the wood and the hand work rather than anything mechanical. Our one result beat its top estimate by a wide margin, which tells you where the demand is.

MX12s are bought and sold on trigger group, rib and stock configuration. A detachable trigger, an adjustable rib and a stock that fits you are worth more than a year on the date. Stocks are routinely made to measure, so an off-the-shelf fit is the exception.

These are shot hard by serious competitors. Ask the round count, and expect a high one — a well-maintained Perazzi with 100,000 rounds through it is a normal gun, not a worn-out one.

Retail expectation: £5,000 to £7,500 from a dealer for an engraved grade in good order.
