What moves the price

The 202 is the older German take-down rifle that the M03 replaced, and it is now one of the cheapest ways to buy genuinely good European engineering. Our results sit in a tight, low band.

Being superseded is what keeps the price down rather than any fault in the rifle. Barrels and magazines are still findable but not plentiful, so a rifle sold with spares is worth meaningfully more than one without.

Check the take-down joint for wear and make sure it returns to zero after reassembly — that is the mechanism the whole design rests on, and the one thing expensive to put right.

Retail expectation: £1,500 to £2,200 from a dealer, depending on calibre and what comes with it.
