What moves the price
Blaser is to modern British stalking what Beretta is to clay shooting — the default, and consequently the easiest rifle to sell. Our results across the R8 range are unusually consistent, which means a figure here can be relied on.
The R8 is a switch-barrel system, so what you are really buying is a receiver plus whatever barrels and bolt heads come with it. A second barrel in a useful calibre is worth £600–900 on its own; check the advert lists which calibres and bolt heads are included.
The Success stock is the thumbhole version and the most common. Condition of the barrel matters less than on a fixed-barrel rifle, because a worn barrel can simply be replaced — which is exactly why these hold value.
